Description
A King Who Didn’t Look Like One
This map shows the route Jesus took as he rode into Jerusalem on a donkey—the moment Christians now call Palm Sunday. Long before it happened, the prophet Zechariah described this scene in chapter 9: a king coming not in power or violence, but in humility.
This wasn’t a random choice. Riding in on a donkey was a public statement. It told the crowds that Jesus was a different kind of king—one who came to bring peace, not fear.
Why This Geography Matters
Jesus approached Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, traveling the road from Bethany down through the Kidron Valley and up into the city. This map lets you see that path—the hills, the valleys, and the narrow corridor leading straight to the temple.
It was along this road that people laid palm branches, shouted praises, and unknowingly walked beside the king Zechariah had promised hundreds of years earlier.
What This Map Shows
This map brings together prophecy and place. You can see where Jesus started, how he entered the city, and why that route mattered. It turns a powerful moment into a real journey you can follow with your eyes.
This isn’t just about where Jesus went—it’s about how he chose to arrive.
