Paul’s change of plans

Description

Paul’s Travel Plans and a Change of Course

This map highlights the travel plans Paul describes in 2 Corinthians 1:16. He intended to visit Corinth on his way to Macedonia, then return again before heading to Judea. The plan sounds simple—but in the real world, it meant long distances across land and sea.

The map shows the wider Mediterranean setting of Paul’s ministry, helping readers see the scale of travel involved. Journeys between these regions could take weeks or months, depending on weather, ships, and road conditions.

Paul ultimately changed his plans, not out of indecision, but to spare the church another painful visit. This map turns that explanation into something visible—real places, real routes, and real challenges behind a deeply personal letter.
