Quick note with a Friday deadline - May 8, 2026
It's going to cost over $80,000 to have the company that proofreads most English Bibles proofread the Casual English Bible.
Yes, you read that right. But it's a lot of work - all 66 books - and this is the company best equipped to do it.
Here's the time-sensitive part: If you donate even $1 to the Casual English Bible this week through Fractured Atlas (my fiscal sponsor for tax-deductible donations), it enters us into a drawing for a $1,000 match. Every donation is another entry. Like Christian lottery tickets.
Deadline is Friday, May 8. Sorry for the short notice - I just learned about this last night.

More info coming soon
I'll be sharing a lot more about the proofreading campaign soon. But here's where things stand:
- Amos and Nehemiah are already with the proofreader. They were the guinea pigs to test whether the company would take on the project. They said yes.
- The company has agreed to let us pay as we go, book by book, instead of the typical half up front. That's a big deal.
- But we still have to cover their costs.
I know $80,000+ sounds like a lot. It is a lot. But this is the final polish the Casual English Bible needs - and every dollar gets us closer.
More details soon. For now, if you can give even $1 before Friday, it helps twice.
