Jesus’s Story Doesn’t End at the Empty Tomb — It Hits the Road

The book of Acts picks up right where Luke leaves off, and from the very first chapter it starts moving. The gospel walks out of Jerusalem and goes everywhere — across deserts, over mountains, onto ships, into prisons, and all the way to Rome. Acts is a travel story, and without a map in front of you, it’s easy to lose track of where you are. This atlas keeps the journey clear, so you can follow the message of Jesus as it spreads from a small upper room to the ends of the known world.

Description

Why Geography Matters in Acts

Acts is the second half of a two-part story. Luke wrote his Gospel to tell us what Jesus did and taught, and he wrote Acts to tell us what happened next — how a handful of followers in Jerusalem became a movement that reached the whole Roman world. If Luke is the story of Jesus walking through Galilee and Judea, Acts is the story of his followers walking out into everywhere else.

And there's a lot of walking. The gospel goes from Jerusalem to Samaria, down the road to Gaza, up to Damascus, over to Antioch, and then out across Cyprus, Asia Minor, Macedonia, and Greece. Paul preaches in Philippi, Thessalonica, Athens, Corinth, and Ephesus. He gets arrested in Jerusalem, stands trial in Caesarea, survives a shipwreck off Malta, and finally arrives in Rome under guard. Every chapter moves, and every place matters.

That's why maps make such a difference here. When you can see the roads, the seaports, the provinces, and the distances, the story stops being a blur of hard-to-pronounce names and starts looking like what it really is — an unstoppable journey. You begin to understand why Antioch became a hub, why Ephesus was such a strategic city, why the trip to Rome took so long, and how the gospel kept finding its way forward no matter what.

This atlas is built for pastors, Bible teachers, small-group leaders, homeschool families, Sunday school classes, and anyone who's ever gotten lost in the middle of Paul's travels. It gives you the visual context to follow Acts from the upper room in Jerusalem all the way to a rented house in Rome — and to see the story Luke was telling all along.
