King Hazael Conquers Israel East of the Jordan Map
$10.00
Watch Israel lose half its kingdom without Jerusalem falling.
Sometimes a nation isn’t destroyed all at once. It shrinks one battle at a time. This map follows how Syria’s powerful King Hazael captured Israel’s eastern territories, leaving the kingdom weaker and more vulnerable than ever before.
Description
Map Description
During the reign of King Jehu and his successors, Israel faced relentless attacks from Hazael, king of Aram (Syria). According to 2 Kings 10:32-33, God allowed Hazael to seize Israel's lands east of the Jordan River. These included Gilead, Bashan, and territory belonging to the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and the eastern half of Manasseh.
The Jordan River became an even more important boundary as Israel lost control of its eastern frontier. Although the kingdom still held Samaria and much of the land west of the river, it had surrendered large, strategic regions that once protected it from invasion.
This map highlights how Israel's territory steadily diminished because of continued rebellion against God. The losses weakened the northern kingdom long before the Assyrians finally conquered it in 722 BC. Geography helps tell that story, showing how each captured region brought Israel one step closer to its collapse.
