Description

Paul’s journey to Damascus began as a mission of control—and ended in surrender. Armed with authority to arrest followers of Jesus, Saul set out from Jerusalem, traveling north along well-worn roads through the Jordan Valley and Galilee. But somewhere along that long road, everything changed.

This map traces a likely route from Jerusalem to Damascus, following the natural corridor of the Jordan River and passing key locations such as Jericho, the Sea of Galilee, and the regions beyond. The path reflects one of several plausible first-century routes, covering roughly 175 miles (280 km) through varied and often rugged terrain.

Set against a realistic geographic backdrop, the map helps readers visualize the setting of Acts 9, where Saul encounters a blinding light and hears the voice of Jesus. What begins as a journey of opposition becomes the turning point that transforms Saul into Paul—the apostle to the nations.

This resource brings that moment into focus, connecting the biblical account with the land itself, and helping readers better understand the distance, direction, and significance of the road to Damascus.
