Paul's first mission trip

Paul’s First Missionary Journey

This map traces Paul’s first mission trip (Acts 13–14), a two-year journey covering about 1,400 miles (2,250 km). It marks the moment when the message of Jesus began moving beyond its original base and into the wider Mediterranean world.

Starting from Antioch, Paul and Barnabas sail to Cyprus, then travel inland through the rugged terrain of southern Asia Minor. The route passes through key cities where they preach, plant churches, and face both strong and fierce opposition.

The journey ends where it began, completing a full circuit that helped launch a broader mission to non-Jewish communities. This map puts that movement into real space—showing distance, terrain, and the scale of what these early missionaries undertook.
